The Police University College (Polamk) is Finland's only higher education institution specializing in police research. We engage in applied research and development, serving the planning and development of policing and internal security. The data produced is also used for education at the Police University College.

The Police University College’s research, development and innovation (RDI) newsletter 2/2021 has been published.

The themes of this newsletter include how to recognize and prevent domestic violence more efficiently, why the investigation of hate crimes needs clearer practices, and what is an untapped resource in the police forces.
