Image survey: Police University College again most valued university of applied sciences

The Police University College was again considered the most valued university of applied sciences by young people in Finland in an image survey carried out by Taloustutkimus market research company, receiving the highest overall grade.

The image of universities of applied sciences was surveyed by means of ten statements. The Police University College was top of the list with regard to five of the statements: The Police University College is a forerunner that stands out from other higher education institutions and has a reputation for a good place to study. The level of education is high, and the degree is valued in the labor market.

“I am very pleased that young people gave the Police University College top marks in terms of being forerunners. Finnish police education is rated high internationally, and we are known for keeping up with the latest developments," says Kimmo Himberg , Director of the Police University College.

The Police University College was also among the best known. The greatest interest shown towards the Police University College is by people under the age of 22 and by men more than women.

The Police University College took the overall top spot in the Taloustutkimus image survey for the third year running.

Taloustutkimus made a survey in April 2016 on how well universities of applied sciences are known and what their image is. The survey was carried out by means of an internet survey, with more than 800 people under the age of 30 responding nationwide.
