New strategic leadership program to be launched

The first participants to complete the EMBA in Policing program will begin their studies at the Police University College on 10 December. Participants in the new strategic leadership training program include 15 people from various police units.

“The selected students are extremely motivated and keen to develop their professional competence. Studies will begin with themes related to strategic reinvention. Other themes to be covered include financial and human resources management, and stakeholder and international cooperation,” explains Kimmo Himberg , Director of the Police University College and leader of the training program.

The scope of the Executive MBA in Policing program is 80 credit points, and it is intended for middle- and upper-level managers of police units. The training program will be organized in cooperation with Edutech, the Centre for Professional Development at Tampere University of Technology.
