Police University College at the heart of CEPOL - follow our experts on Twitter
For the next 18 months, the Police University College will be at the heart of the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training CEPOL: Police University College Director Kimmo Himberg is Chair of the Management Board of CEPOL from January 2019 to June 2020.
“The chairmanship is an excellent opportunity to influence the strategic aspects of European law enforcement training. We will have the opportunity to participate in the preparation of decisions and influence the issues discussed at the CEPOL”, says Director Kimmo Himberg .
During the chairmanship, a meeting of the Management Board will be held in Tampere and a CEPOL course in Helsinki, with the theme of strategic planning of policing.
The purpose of CEPOL is to promote European and international cooperation in the field of law enforcement training. Among other things, CEPOL provides training for the police, customs, border guard and prosecution services of EU Member States. In 2018, more than 27,000 people participated in training arranged by CEPOL.
