Occupational Knowledge and Competence in the Future of Internal Security

The project explores the prerequisites of a more integrated educational structure based on realistic ex-ante evaluations within the educational institutions supervised by the Ministry of the Interior (Emergency Services College, Crisis Management Center, Police University College, Border and Coast Guard Academy). The evaluations are based on educational profiles, descriptions of the degree levels and educational structures, and the curricula for officers and staff of each institution. The project also describes and evaluates alternative ways to provide training in a more integrated manner (e.g. the model of the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences).
