A national report on wilderness surveillance completed in August has now been published in the Police University College's publication series and is available online.
According to the report, Finland's current model of wilderness supervision (surveillance) can detect no more than about one-tenth of nature and wilderness crimes. The report highlights 14 measures for improving game and fisheries supervision: for example, increasing funding and appointing a national coordinator would make the work more effective.
