Current state of gang crime, tackling it, and seizing the proceeds of crime (Al Capone)

The aim of the project is to deepen the police administration's understanding of organized crime and gang crime, as well as the mechanisms of criminal proceeds. How can the criminal proceeds be effectively traced and seized? How are young people in particular attracted to criminal networks and how could this be prevented?

The project involves interviewing police administration experts to map the current state of gang crime prevention and identify good practices. The results will be used to develop knowledge-based operations and cooperation between authorities, as well as to focus on the overall picture of gang crime.

The project is being implemented as part of the Strategy and Action Plan for Tackling the Grey Economy and Economic Crime. The final report of the project will be for internal use by the police administration.
