Current Status of Cybercrime Situation Awareness
The aim of the project is to establish the current status of cybercrime situation awareness in Finland. Cybercrime refers to crime targeted at information networks and related services. The aim of the project is to compile a list of 10 tangible suggestions for improving the situation.
Timescale: November 2015 – February 2016
Partners: The project is a joint venture of the Police University College, the Police Cybercrime Center, the National Cyber Security Center of the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority, and the University of Tampere. Partners include the Police Department of the Ministry of the Interior, the National Police Board, and the Finnish Security Intelligence Service.
Funding: The project is funded by the Prime Minister’s Office’s survey and research appropriations for supporting the Government’s decision-making process. The total budget is approximately EUR 70 000.
