Modeling of pre-trial investigation of human trafficking offenses (Ihmemalli)
The underlying reason for human trafficking is the pursuit of financial profit. The Ihmemalli project produces a model for the pre-trial investigation of human trafficking offenses for operational and tactical use by the police. It also forms part of multi-authority cooperation.
The modeling will take the following into account:
- work-based exploitation
- sexual exploitation as a form of human trafficking
- children as a particular target group of exploitation.
The modeling facilitates the clarification and harmonization of police measures across Finland in the pre-trial investigations of human trafficking.
