Organised Crime and Undue Influence: Mapping of Nordic Knowledge (OC-INF)
The project studies information on inappropriate influence towards law enforcement and judicial authorities in the Nordic countries. The project is based on earlier research results and strategy documents on various threats, such as harassment, corruption and violence.
The project analyses empirical data from the five Nordic countries. A Nordic network group will be set up for the project to identify best practices. The role of the Police University College is to support the Institute of Criminology and Legal Policy (Krimo) at the University of Helsinki, which is responsible for the project, by analysing information concerning the police, among other things.
The results will be used for purposes such as crime prevention and development of legislation.
