Tackling Organised Crime: Viewpoints on Nordic Policies and Practises (TOC24)

A working group chaired by the Ministry of Justice is preparing an update of Finland's strategy against organized crime. The Police University College will compile a report for the working group on the work countering organized crime in Sweden and Denmark.

The analysis will focus on strategy models, the experiences of key actors and best practices. The aim is to identify evidence-based measures and assess their applicability in Finland. The project is based on documents from public authorities, research literature, and data collected during a study visit.

The project will contribute to the implementation of the Government Program, and to the work on updating the strategy against organized crime. It will also support understanding of the phenomenon, the operational work of the authorities, and educational activities. The results can be utilized also in other countries besides Finland.
