Building European Communities’ Resilience and Social Capital (BuildERS)
The BuildERS project is designed to support contingency planning for natural disasters and serious man-made disruptive events. The specific objective is to identify individuals and groups in a vulnerable position and to reinforce their awareness of crisis and ability to recover. The project aims to find solutions for local residents and communities to improve their information exchange with the authorities, organizations and other actors – especially by utilizing social media and new technology. In addition, proposals for policy orientations and actions will be made during the course of the project.
