Fake nEws Risk MItigator (FERMI)
The FERMI project will develop and deploy an AI-based technical solution to detect and analyse disinformation and fake news, including in social media. At the same time, the impacts of disinformation and fake news on other crimes, both online and in the real world, will be anticipated and counter-measures proposed.
The project will facilitate EU Police Authorities to detect and monitor the spreading of disinformation and fake news, and to put relevant security countermeasures in place. The project will also produce educational material for the police authorities in Europe, other professionals and stakeholders, and EU citizens. The training material will counter the dissemination of disinformation and fake news and enhance digital trust.
