Pilot study of the renewal of strategy for combating organized crime (Järis)
The project will prepare a report on the current status of organized crime and crime with serious social impacts, and assess their future development. The aim is to identify the key threats of serious crime targeting Finnish society at present and in the future. The report will highlight special issues concerning the Finnish operational environment and silent signals arising from national reference groups. During the project, strategic focus areas of crime prevention in Europe will also be studied.
The project will prepare a public report due for publication in early spring 2023.
Timescale: September 2022 – December 2023
Project partners: Police units, various public authorities and other organizations will support the project by sharing information with the project and by participating in interviews and a workshop.
Funding: Ministry of Justice and Ministry of the Interior, EUR 20,000 in total
