Off-road driving training
Police off-road driving training includes snowmobile training and all-terrain vehicle training.
By completing basic snowmobile training, a police officer acquires the skills needed to operate a snowmobile in police duties. The seven-day training package contains both theory and practical training. Two-day continuing education courses are also organized for the snowmobile police.
All-terrain vehicle training provides a police officer with basic skills needed to operate an all-terrain vehicle in police duties. The five-day training includes one day of theory in the form of online studies and four days of practical training.
Boat driver training
By completing the basic boat driving course, a police officer acquires the skills needed to operate police patrol boats and personal watercraft in police duties. The training includes a 10-day theory phase and 10 days of practical driver training.
In addition to the basic course, the Police University College organizes training for large patrol boat users.
