The starting point of the project is a community-and-citizen-centric approach to community policing. The goal of the project is increasingly efficient and impactful community policing. The project also aims to facilitate and speed up communication between the police and citizens. The project involves developing and testing new communication platforms, including a mobile application and a web portal, together with citizens.
Timescale: May 2015 – April 2018
Partners: The lead coordinator is the West Yorkshire Police (UK). The project consortium consists of 15 partners from 12 EU countries. Partners include universities, research institutes, representatives of the police, and technology companies.
Funding: total of approximately EUR 4.5 million from the EU’s Horizon 2020 program, of which the Police University College’s share is approximately EUR 446 000
