Management
Our management processes show the direction and serve and support our operations. In management processes, we utilise the process outlines prepared by central government. The majority of the operating instructions and working platforms of management processes have been compiled on the police intranet.
In addition to management, we have various important support services, such as communications, information management, technical services, ICT, library and the National Police Museum, which support our success. The key information and instructions related to these are included in the Resources section of the operational quality manual.

Strategic management, and operational and resource planning
Our strategic management aims to create a common direction and way of working. Our annual operational planning process links strategic goals to the daily life of everyone working and studying at the Police University College, and creates opportunities for implementing future plans. We structure the process by adapting the State Treasury's process map for financial administration.

We structure our process on support for financial management support according to the outline of the State Treasury. It identifies the following four processes:
- From plans to results (operational and financial planning, performance and management accounting, reporting of results)
- From purchase to payment (from need to contract, from order to payment)
- From order to collection (handling of revenue)
- From posting to financial statements (maintenance of monitoring objects, fixed assets accounting, inventories accounting, general ledger accounting)

We structure the processes of HR services in accordance with the process map of the Government Shared Services Centre for Finance and HR. It identifies the following personnel processes:
- Steering and management (strategic planning, HR management, performance management and employer activities)
- Recruitment (task analysis, application phase, selection phase, induction)
- Pay and remuneration (payroll calculation, payroll accounting, and distribution of payroll costs)
- Employment management (organisational management, employment management, working hours management, annual leave management)
- Competence and training management (competence management, licence and qualification management, performance management, training management)
- Travel (before travel, after travel)
