We serve police students, police personnel and other customers.

Loans and renewal

Generally, the loan period of the Police University College Library’s items is 28 days.

Police employees and police students can borrow items by visiting the Library or by ordering them. You can borrow items by contacting the Library ([email protected] or tel. +358 295 418 315). The items you have ordered will be sent by mail. You can renew a loan through the Etsivä service.

Other customers may request an interlibrary loan through their local library. You can also enquire about the possibility of visiting the Police University College Library. Read more on the Become a Library Customer page.

Information Service

Police students and personnel can order an information search from the Library and ask for guidance in using databases and other sources. You can also send an information search request to the Police University College Library by e-mail ([email protected]). Using the Information Service and guidance is free of charge.

Non-police customers are served where possible.

Interlibrary loans

Our students and personnel can request interlibrary loans from other libraries in Finland through the Police University College Library. This service is free of charge to students and personnel.

If you are not a customer of the Police University College Library, you can request an interlibrary loan of our items through your local library. They will submit the request for you. Interlibrary loans from the Police University College Library are subject to a charge.
